The Mic Booster CT 1 from Klark Teknik is designed to give dynamic or passive ribbon microphones a clean boost on their way to their destination. Say you have a quiet dynamic microphone and a preamp that introduces noise when you crank the levels. Put the Mic Booster CT 1 between the mic and the preamp, and you can boost the signal up to 25 dB cleanly, so you don't have to do it with the preamp.
The Mic Booster CT 1 is compact and rugged. It has XLR connections at both ends, and you can power it with 48V phantom power from your downstream preamp, mixer, or PA.
